- Preparing monthly management accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Performing financial analysis to influence strategic decisions.
- Ensuring all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Analysing the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future.
- Interpreting complex financial information and providing updates and information as needed.
- Monitoring and managing budgets and expenditure.
- Improving efficiency's and reducing costs across the business.
Profile
A successful Group Management Accountant should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Experience in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Strong financial analysis and forecasting abilities.
- Excellent proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
