Teaching Assistants - Primary school

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA's)

Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire

Salary: £85 - £100 per day, + Weekly Pay

As a higher learning teaching assistant you will be required to:

  • Work with the children 1 to 1 and in small groups to provide support and encourage learning.
  • Lead whole class session and potentially have the opportunity to cover lessons due to teacher absence, providing great teaching experience.
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and teaching materials.
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Keeping the children motivated and excited to learn.

Requirements for this HLTA role:

  • Qualification in Education or Teaching Support (HLTA status, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Have an understanding of the UK national curriculum and assessment.
  • Be able to encourage, nurture and inspire the minds of our children, reassuring them that this is a safe. environment to express their personalities and develop their learning abilities.
