Position Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in groundworks and foundations design. This role offers a pathway for career progression to a Design Manager position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop foundation packages for residential housing schemes and care homes.
- Collaborate with the project management and construction teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and ensure design specifications are adhered to.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for foundation and groundworks projects.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address design-related queries and modifications.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Structural Designer in the construction industry, with a focus on groundworks and foundations design.
- Strong understanding of foundation and groundworks processes, techniques, and regulations.
- Proficient in using design software and tools relevant to structural design.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications in structural engineering or a related field are desirable.
