Description
- Overseeing payroll procedures and ensuring accuracy in all aspects.
- Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports.
- Processing correct amounts for employee wages and deductions.
- Preparing reports for upper management, finance department etc.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
- Identifying issues and recommending solutions to improve the payroll system.
- Coordinating with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires).
Profile
A successful Payroll specialist should have:
- A strong understanding of general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in relevant payroll software.
- Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
