A 2 branch Independent Pharmacy owner is seeking a new Pharmacist Manager, must be GPHC Registered with a minimum of 3 years experience as they have a pre registration student from July 2024.This Rebourn branch is currently working at an average of 8,000 items per month doing Pharmacy First and Travel Vaccination Services.
Key Duties
- Leadership and Management: As a manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy is crucial. This involves managing staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow. It also includes handling administrative duties such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff training.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws is essential. This includes maintaining proper documentation, adhering to medication storage and handling protocols, and staying up-to-date with changes in regulations.
- Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels, ordering medications and supplies, and overseeing stock rotation are important aspects of the role. This helps ensure that the pharmacy has an adequate supply of medications while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is a priority. This involves addressing customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring that customers receive accurate information about their medications.
- Medication Therapy Management: Pharmacists play a crucial role in medication therapy management, including counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions with other medications. The pharmacist manager may also develop protocols and guidelines for medication management within the pharmacy.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standards of care and safety is essential. This includes conducting regular inspections, monitoring for medication errors, and implementing protocols to prevent adverse events.
- Financial Management: Managing the financial aspects of the pharmacy, including budgeting, billing, and reimbursement, is often part of the pharmacist manager's responsibilities. This may involve working with insurance companies, processing claims, and optimizing revenue streams.

Package and Benefits
- Monday to Friday working from June hours will be 09:00- 18:30
- Salary of £60,000 per annum

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- Must have 3 years experience on the GPHC
- Must be GPHC registered
- Must be a keen and motivated Pharmacist
