Working Hours: 3 Days Per Week

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of commercial property cases that deliver growth of net income from lease events, licence fees and rent reviews from leased and licenced properties across the Council's commercial estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the Landlord & Tenant Manager in the implementation of cost-effective/efficient systems, policies and processes for the management and monitoring of lease events (such as rent reviews, lease renewals, licence to assign requests, change-of-use requests, agreed-surrenders-on-terms, new leases), billing, rent collection, customer satisfaction and service charge administration.
  • To support the Landlord & Tenant Manager in budgeting, forecasting and delivery across multiple cost centres of service charges and/or rental income in the Council's commercial estate
  • To support the Landlord & Tenant Manager, Buildings & Facilities team and Sustainability team on sustainability requirements and aims across the Council's commercial portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Up-to-date and working knowledge of relevant property-related legislation, regulations and standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of major issues and challenges facing property
  • Knowledge and experience of property management systems
