Experienced Teaching Assistant required for a long term temporary job in St Helens
Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a primary school in St Helens to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in Year 3 on a long-term basis.The role is full-time Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday term time only.
Your new company You will be working in a large Ofsted 'Good' Primary school where you will join a welcoming and supporting team of teachers and support staff who work hard to create a safe and creative environment to allow children to flourish.
Your new role
As a Teaching assistant your main role will be to provide pupils support and guidance, ensuring that they are able to access the curriculum fully and truly enjoy their education. You will support the Classroom Teacher with their delivery of curriculum, both inside and outside of the class room, whilst supporting the pupil's well-being also.
Hours are in line with the school day. You will receive a competitive rate of pay, whilst embracing a challenging and rewarding role also.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application you will need.
- You will have experience working with children within the last 2 years.
- You should feel confident working with children in small groups.
- You will need to be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic.
- You will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff, children and parents.
- A current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Hays
- Two references from previous work
