Tradewind is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic SEN school located in St Helens. This is your chance to become an integral part of a passionate team committed to empowering students with SEN to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Collaborating closely with teachers and SENCO to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Building positive relationships with students, offering encouragement and guidance to foster their growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is advantageous but not essential.
  • Possession of relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is beneficial.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the unique challenges of a SEN setting.
