Description

The role of Commercial Director is critical to ensuring the continued growth of the business through development and implementation of commercial strategies that align with the Company goals and objectives; whilst ensuring that the customer experience is at the heart of everything. The role holder is also accountable for developing marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and market share.

  • To demonstrate exceptional leadership, commercial and inter-personal skills in support of the Company's commercial, marketing and customer excellence activities.
  • To mentor and develop the Sales, Marketing and Customer Excellence teams with a view to creating and maintaining high performing and highly engaged teams.
  • To create winning Marketing and Customer experience strategies that unite all businesses within the group cementing our leadership position within the our market.
  • As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will make a significant and measurable contribution to the company's success.
  • Lead customer contract negotiations, ensuring they meet company policies and legal requirements.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to understand the needs of current customers and to acquire new business.
  • Prepare, manage and control departmental budgets.
  • Create and manage team incentive plans, ensuring they reward the right behaviours and are in line with the business strategy.

Profile

A successful Commercial Director should have:

  • Educated to degree level - (Business management and Science degrees advantageous).
  • Proven track record in Commercial Leadership roles with proven business development success.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and industry knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach, shape and develop teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong track record of Customer Relationship Management.
