The Company
Our client, in the environmental energy sector, has an opportunity to join them at their waste processing site, a sector that provides stability and longevity.

The Role
• Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the Recycling Processing Plant.
• Working as part of a Maintenance team you  will ensure that any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority.
•You will carry out any fault finding and repair of all associated plant and machinery, such as conveyors, hydraulics, etc
• You will liaise with external contractors.
• As Maintenance Technician you will carry our regular checks and inspection of plant equipment

The Successful Candidate
• This role suits a candidate with a recognised trade qualification, City and Guilds or NVQ relevant to undertaking repairs and maintenance in an industrial setting.
•  You will have a sound ability in mechanical maintenance - such as heavy machinery or mechanics.
• This role would suit a time served fitter/engineer, working with heavy machinery either manufacturing, waste management or agriculture or alternatively my client can consider an individual at the beginning of the career and offer them training and development.
• Certificates in the various applications/equipment used as a Fitter ie. Welder, grinder advantageous.
• H&S certificates advantageous..
• The Successful Maintenance Technician will have good communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• The ideal candidate will have a positive and can do personality and attitude.
• This role would suit an individual who is keen to develop themselves as our business also grows.
