Plant Operator
Salary: £25k - £27.5k p/a depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday - Friday Days,
Location: Peterborough - Orton Southgate

Carbon60 are looking for a versatile and agile Plant Operator to join one of our global-leading water treatment clients at their workshop in Peterborough.
This role will involve various activities day to day ensuring that plant operations are carried out efficiently and to the highest of standards. These will include Quality control of various plant equipment, transporting of equipment and material around the workshop, general housekeeping and maintaining EHS standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to quality check relevant plant equipment found within the water treatment sector such as Pumps, Valves, Motors, etc.
  • Ability to transport equipment, materials and chemicals around the workshop to relevant departments
  • Receiving deliveries of chemicals
  • Understanding of environmental health & safety principles within a workshop environment, with competency to identify potential risks and ensuring compliance to framework
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation covering housekeeping duties within each department


Desired experience/Qualifications;

  • Forklift license
  • Combi lift license
  • Shunter truck license
  • First-aider/ Fire Marshall
