A prominent supplier in the construction industry is seeking a skilled Sales Executive to join their team, located in Stevenage. The company specialises in innovative composite timber products.

Duties:

  • Take ownership of daily sales management, proactively engaging with customers to identify their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Utilise purchase history to identify sales opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and implement strategies to increase account spend.
  • Prepare quotes for projects, accurately assessing material requirements from technical drawings (training provided if necessary).
  • Collaborate with project managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Estimators to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Engage in various customer activities, including visits, presentations, and attendance at trade events and exhibitions.
  • Manage day-to-day office activities efficiently, maintaining a tidy and professional workspace.

Desired skills:

  • Proven experience in within sales - preferably of building products or within the building supply and construction sector
  • Ability to provide a proven track record of winning, growing and retaining new business.
  • Experience of Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator will be advantageous.
