Experience needed: This is a project management role focused specifically on bids and business winning so candidates would need to have direct experience either managing or writing bids of a technical nature. Ideally this would have been done within a complex high-technology industry such as defence, aerospace, automotive, space, nuclear, oil & gas and similar.

As well as ensuring excellence in each individual bid, the role plays a critical part in the long-term product business cases, product route maps and product investment plans. What we need from you:

  • Experience of managing bids within a complex, high-technology environment/industry
  • A good understanding of the key bidding considerations across a number of stakeholders
  • Direct experience either managing or writing bids of a technical nature; preferably in the context of engineering development work
  • Experience in project management, contract acquisition and business delivery.
  • The ability to form innovative solutions to challenging problems within short timescales
  • Excellent stakeholder management, both internally and externally
  • Key activity strands include:
    • Optimising a portfolio of concurrent and future bidding activities
    • Delivering Product Business Cases to maximise probability of success for bidding campaigns
    • Contributing to the Product Line strategy through the road-map and investment strategy
    • Championing business winning best practices and approaches
    • Responded to Customer changing requirements
