MDH Recruitment are working in partnership with our client, a market leader within their industry, who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join them at their growing Grangemouth site.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department and ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities within the organization.
Responsibilities -
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Process and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Skills/Experience -
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software applications
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
