Based in Manchester, they have a large Design team of circa 19 Designers, & are looking to add more to the business. Your new roleThis role is an excellent position for a Mechanical Designer / Draughtsperson to get stuck into some exciting, cutting-edge design work and will include the following day to day responsibilities:* Produce detailed, technical drawings for design solutions with the Engineering Design team * Check, edit and maintain drawings and other technical documentation * Prepare technical documents such as specifications, reports, manuals, procedures etc * Support hardware development and testing * Compile technical documents and test specifications * Interpret technical specifications What you'll need to succeedFor this role, to succeed, you will have the following experience:* Experience of detailed design drawings and documentation * Experience in CAD and PDM software including Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works, Siemens NX, Pro Engineer or similar * Understanding CAD and other Software file formats * Worked within medium to heavy engineering or sheet metal industry with knowledge of welded and fabricated structures * Knowledge and experience of PDM administration * Experience of BoM management and configuration What you'll get in return In return, you will receive an excellent salary between £40,000 - £45,000 p/a and benefits package. Permanent and Fixed Term contracts avalible.
