We're hiring!Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants to work across a range of vibrant and supportive special needs schools in Stockport. These roles offer flexible supply work, long-term placements, and the chance to join a rewarding sector where your care and expertise truly matter.
About the Role:You will be supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs including autism, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and medical needs. Your role may include:

One-to-one or small group support in the classroom

Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting and feeding

Administering or supporting with PEG feeding (training provided if needed)

Encouraging social and emotional development
-
Helping students to access the curriculum in a meaningful way

Previous experience working in an SEN setting (school, residential, care)

Comfortable and experienced with personal care tasks

Trained or experienced in PEG feeding (or willingness to undergo training)

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication

Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different school environments

An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)

Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS training
