We are looking for Deputy Care Manager to join our Team. Initial training will be provided but you should be able to work on your own and use your own initiative when required. You will be a team player, an excellent communicator, well organised and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

The main duties;

  • To assist with Individual referrals from the Care Coordinators, when required.
  • In conjunction with the Manager, to provide support to all staff members within the team
  • To ensure that all legislation is adhered to as required by CQC.
  • Provide care reports as required.
  • To assist the Care Manager and In-house trainer with any managerial supervision, training and appraisals where necessary.
  • To assist the Care Manager in monitoring the performance of all care staff and to assist in initiating appropriate action should standards fall below an acceptable level.
  • To assist the Care Manager in ensuring that senior staff and staff receive on going advice and support to maintain the progressive development of the team.
  • To assist with care staff in resolving problems according to the grievance procedure, in conjunction with the Care Manager.
  • To assist with staff disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal.
  • To ensure that all Bank Staff are being monitored on a monthly basis with regard to utilisation, availability, training, supervision etc.
  • To assist the Manager with ensuring that budgetary control is maintained, ensuring that maximum income is maintained and all expenditure is monitored and recorded.

In addition to the above, you may be requested to carry out any other tasks that maybe considered a reasonable request in line with the role of a Deputy Manager.

NVQ in Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3 is required and you must be a driver with transport.

Salary is negotiable on experience but will be in the region of £25,000 - £35,000 plus great benefits.
