We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer based in Stockport.
This is going to be a permanent position and the salary will range from 45,000 - 53,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities:
- To support manufacturing processes to improve product quality and ease of manufacture. Apply modern manufacturing methodology and continuous improvement philosophy to the manufacturing engineering practices.
- Track record of delivering Manufacturing improvements including change over time reduction, cycle time, error-proofing and fixture design would be advantageous.
- Ability to review Quality data to identify and prioritise improvement actions
- Create, manage and deliver improvement action plans
- Implement a customer focused, operational improvement culture delivering world class customer service levels.
- Coordinate cross functional team activities to optimise cost performance of the plant through capital investment programmes, optimising operating standards and minimising waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles
- Support and lead structured problem solving and process improvement activities, 8D or similar
- Provide design for manufacturing input in new product development process, coordinate and support the new product development team in developing effective processes to ensure manufacturability of products, maintaining quality, safety, cost and environmental standards.
- Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
- Implement effective containment and permanent corrective actions to manufacturing quality and process issues.

Key skills required:
- Ideally be educated to Bachelor level or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering discipline
or HND, or an Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience developed in complex engineering environments
- Successful track record of manufacturing excellence
- Planning experience using SAP and Ideally Trained in SAP
- Structuring BOMs from Drawing to Manufacture
