We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join a skilled and experienced workforce at their ultra-modern manufacturing facility based in Stockport.

- Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm (early finish on Fridays)

What will you be doing as a Manufacturing Supervisor?
- Ensuring team operations align with the Company’s Health, Environmental, and Safety policies, leading SHE activities in the relevant area
- Leading the team to meet Product to Cost and Quality requirements, ensuring schedule adherence and creating recovery plans/short interval control when necessary
- Responsible for effectively deploying resources to achieve business returned hour targets, redeploying resources (and self) to other business units as needed
- Managing absence according to company procedure (holidays, sickness, disciplinary etc), ensuring Return to Work (RTW) procedures are carried out within 24 hours of return, and taking full responsibility for welfare
- Ensuring team competence to meet targets, arranging and attending job/training courses to maximise flexibility within the team
- Preparing daily reporting (upwards) of primary business measures
- Ensuring adherence to the company Quality Management Systems and Manufacturing Procedures without exception, addressing any escapes
- Maintaining the competency, capability, and capacity of the manufacturing team to meet programme requirements
- Personally conducting start and end of shift briefs, ensuring direct workforce receives daily communications and stays informed about key business topics
- Responsible for maintaining and communicating local Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the team and management
- Leading daily audits of the workplace environment, ensuring Target Conditions are met to “visitor ready” standards
- May be asked to be redeployed to other areas of the business if required
What do you need?
- Previous experience in a manufacturing supervisor role
- Previous experience leading a manufacturing team a relevant industry
- A working knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes
- A knowledge and understanding of material requirements planning (MRP)
