Business Development/ Sales Engineer / Regional Sales / Sales Account Manager

POYNTON  - SALARY & BONUS - HYBRID WORKING

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for growing and coordinating all sales activity for Companies Food Pharmaceutical equipment and applications within the Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Industries. Primary focus is maximising each project to make sure quotation and bookings goals are achieved.

Main Duties of Sales Account Manager

  • To establish and develop sustainable customer relationships at all organisational levels in a professional manner
  • To maintain regular direct contact with our customer base
  • To ensure awareness of the clients products and services with both existing and potential customers
  • To support the preparation of proposals and then to negotiate and secure orders and contracts that are profitable, commercially secure and technically sound
  • To actively manage agents, distributors and colleagues in the territory through sales and commercial support, regular performance reviews and product training.
  • To identify and report market requirements to the business to support the business and R&D strategy
  • To provide market information and competitor activity to support the development of our position in the industry
  • To prepare and maintain the company CRM system, sales reports, forecasts and contact information on a regular basis and in a timely manner

Candidate Profile for Sales Account Manager

  • Organised and tenacious self-starter able to work on their own and as part of a team
  • Export sales experience
  • Ability to think strategically to support the development of the global business strategy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to focus on objectives and outcomes
  • Potential to identify and pursue prospects and show leadership in allocating the company’s resources
  • Problem solver able to quickly understand engineering and process concepts
  • Confidence, skill and presence to successfully negotiate
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to build a profile with customers and within the group

Travel UK and Internation around 25% of the year

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Technical, Science or Process Degree (or equivalent) preferred. However, candidates who are able to demonstrate exceptional direct experience, will also be considered
  • Demonstrable experience in sales, application sales or engineering of a highly technical product, preferably from a Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical or Biotech background
