As the Senior Utilities & Gas Services Supervisor you will be part of the shift team the role is responsible for safely delivering the gas and utilities services across the Teesside Sites, providing specialist support in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

The role holder will deputise for the Utilities & Gas Services Team Leader ensuring delivery of the daily management of the Utilities & Gas Services.

Your responsibilities:
  • Maintaining safe and uninterrupted 24/7 Site Services - Owning & operating essential site gas (both bulk & specialty gases, including the large-scale preparation of high pressure single & mixed gas supplies) & utility plant / equipment.
  • Managing & delivering compliance testing of site gas and utility service equipment, including safety critical system inspections / calibrations to meet Legislative & JM Engineering Standards.
  • Identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting wider site activities ensuring the appropriate level of Safe Systems Of Work and high hazard permits are in place.
  • Site Incident Controller responsibility and member of the Emergency Response Team
  • Act as deputy to the Utilities & Gas Services Team Leader including matrix management of other team members.


Requirements for the role:
  • HND/NVQ Level 4 equivalent or above qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
  • Experience in handling bulk chemicals (in particular High Pressure Gas handling)
  • Experience in the Chemical Sector
  • Experience working in a line management/leadership role
  • Experience working and delivering task independently and working as part of a team
