A bespoke manufacturer of plastic injection moulded products and components, supplying various industries including automotive, electronics, agriculture and oil & gas, is now seeking an Injection Moulding Setter Technician to join their busy mouldshop.

With over 25 machines, this role will play a key part in ensuring production runs smoothly, whilst also identifying and implementing improvements to save time and money. The company encourages growth from within and delivers additional training on robots, machines and processing.

Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts, £30,000 - £35,000 + OT

As an Injection Moulding Setter Technician your duties will include -

  • Machine Setup: Prepare and set up injection moulding machines, moulds, and auxiliary equipment for production runs according to established guidelines and production schedules.
  • Process Optimisation: Monitor and adjust machine parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure optimal product quality and production efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments as necessary during production to maintain quality.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to mould, machine, and production processes to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter Technician, the ideal candidate will -

  • Have worked in an Injection Moulding production environment as a Setter or Technician.
  • Be able to tool change and condition set.
  • Have good trouble shooting skills.
  • Have experience of process optimisation.
