Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of injection moulding machines, ensuring that they run efficiently and produce high-quality products.
This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the injection moulding sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up injection moulding machines, moulds, and auxiliary equipment for production runs according to established guidelines and production schedules.
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure optimal product quality and production efficiency.
- Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments as necessary during production to maintain quality.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mould, machine, and production processes to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
- Maintain accurate records of production and machine maintenance activities, as well as any process or material changes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior machine operators and setters as needed.
Qualifications/Skills
- Holds a IMT Level 3 Qualification or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications related to injection moulding is a plus.
- 2 years of experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with a variety of different materials.
- Proficiency in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong commitment to producing high-quality products with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical and process-related issues.
