JE112: HGV Class 1 Driver (Days)
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per annum
Shifts - 4 ON 4 OFF
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver (Days) on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivery of milk to Dairies in the UK within 24 hours of collection
- Adhering to all Tachograph and WTD regulations
- Daily Vehicle Walkaround Checks
- Keeping company vehicle clean and tidy
- Completing paperwork accurately and submitting in good time after each delivery
Skills and Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV Class 1 driver (Class 2 would be considered)
- 12+ months HGV driving experience
- A current CPC and digital tacho
- Flexible, hardworking and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Completion of Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Keeping company vehicle clean and tidy on a daily basis
- Strict adherence to drivers hours and WTD
- Good communication skills as will deal directly with farmers, managers and on occasion customers
- Attention to detail is essential
- Numerical literacy is important
- Previous experience in liquid loads is desirable but not essential
