A Potteries based engineering company is recruiting for a qualified and experienced Health Safety and Environmental Officer. This company is an internationally renowned specialist in the specification and manufacturing of compound materials supplied into industries including Aerospace, Food Processing, Marine and Power Generation.
Their Health Safety and Environmental Officer role, is a position of importance and responsibility.
The role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental programmes and initiatives, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within a manufacturing organisation.
The working hours are 7am-4pm Mon-Thurs and 7am-3pm on Fridays.
Applicants for the Health Safety and Environmental Officer vacancy will need the following qualifications and experience:
·NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification
·Previous experience of leading effective Health and Safety culture and practice, ideally within a manufacturing environment, although experience gained from other industrial sectors will be considered.
·Excellent communication and written skills, coupled with an enthusiasm to keep updated with improved Health and Safety practice.
