Job Title: SEN Support WorkerLocation: Stoke-on-TrentPosition Overview:As a SEND Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to children with SEND. You will work closely with experienced team members to create a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of each child. Key Responsibilities:*Provide one-on-one support to children with SEND, assisting with daily activities and routines.*Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes learning, independence, and social interaction.*Implement individualised support plans, ensuring that the specific needs and preferences of each child are met.*Monitor and assess the progress of children, reporting any concerns or developments to the appropriate team members.*Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create comprehensive support strategies.*Maintain accurate records of activities, progress, and any incidents, ensuring confidentiality at all times.*Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting children with SENDQualifications:-Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Care or a related field.-Previous experience working with children with SEND.-Understanding of SEND, including common challenges and effective support strategies.-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and colleagues.-Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEND.-Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.-Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children and the environment.I am very keen to speak with Support Workers, Learning Support Assistants and SEND Teaching Assistants who are perfect for this position. if you feel that this is you, please get in touch ASAP by applying.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
