Quest Employment is currently recruiting for a Trainee CAD Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable manufacturer of timber components based in ST4.
Job Title: Trainee CAD Technician
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm
(flexibility required to meet the business needs)
Salary: NMW (age dependant)
UK driving license is essential.
Training will be offered to enable the successful candidate to achieve the following:
- CAD: using captured survey data, create a full 3D model using CAD system (SolidWorks)
- Analyse the CAD model to identify limitations and areas of concern
- Document: prepare full working drawings for factory and site fitters in line with company standards.
- CAM: stand in for and/or assist CAM programming as required to meet the needs of department
- Estimating: review enquiries and CAD drawings to create a list of required parts.
Thisrole will suit a college leaver who has pursued education in design, engineering, or other technical subject in which they have used CAD as part of their learning.The company will provide specific training in all the areas. The successful candidate is unlikely to have previous experience, but they are required to have an exceptional eye for detail and demonstrate appropriate levels of diligence.
