Test Engineer – Stafford – up to £35,000

I am currently working with one of the UK’s leading technology and digital transformation companies, who have ben operating for over 50 years. We are recruiting for a talented and driven Wire person to join the growing Electrical Testing team, who would be responsible for ensuring that products or processes meet specified standards and requirements.

This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, including meticulous point-to-point testing, to verify the continuity and correctness of individual connections in electrical circuits. They conduct inspections and tests, identify defects or deviations from standards, and review/check technical specifications to ensure adherence to design requirements. The successful candidate will be collaborating with various teams, Quality Assurance Engineers address and resolve quality issues, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Requirements of the Test Engineer role:

  • Nationally recognized technical qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline (Examples: HNC/HND, 17th Edition C&G2382 & Inspection & Test, completed modern apprenticeship)  
  • Full driving license and car
  • Eligibility for SC Clearance
  • Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, assembly prints, wiring schedules, and parts lists.
  • Ability to conduct point-to-point testing, interpret circuit diagrams, and review technical specifications.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and deviations.
  • Ability to review and check technical specifications to ensure alignment with design requirements.
