Join a dynamic team at an esteemed independent pharmacy group, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to the community. With a network of pharmacies and a dedicated team of over 20 Pharmacists, our client is committed to excellence in patient service and professional development.

You will support the business as a Second Pharmacist predominately based at their branch in Gloucester GL10, then approximately 12 weeks per year you will cover branches across Worcester WR11, covering Pharmacist holidays when required (travel allowance will be provided).

This is a full time, permanent position as a working on a rota basis with an average of 38.25 hours per week, and supported by a cohesive team comprising of 2 Pharmacists, an ACD, 6 full time Dispensers, a pre-reg, and 3 full time Counter Assistants.

Rota is as follows:

  • Week 1: Tuesday to Friday (9am to 6pm) with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Week 2: Tuesday to Friday (9am to 6pm) & Saturday (9am to 5:30pm)

Key responsibilities:

  • Support in the executing of medication dispensing tasks, including compounding, packaging, and labelling medicines.
  • Maintain quality control over medications through vigilant monitoring of drug therapies and providing expert interventions.
  • Support pharmacy operations, working alongside Technicians, ensuring accurate preparation and labelling of medicines.

Personal specification:

  • GPhC registered Pharmacist with a passion for patient care.
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) coupled with completed pre-registration training.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to diverse audiences, including the general public and healthcare professionals.
  • Genuine concern for the welfare and well-being of patients.
