Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Housekeeping. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations within the care home, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and organization are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of resident rooms, common areas, dining areas, and other facilities within the care home.
  • Quality: Implement and enforce cleaning protocols and standards to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and manage housekeeping schedules to ensure coverage for all areas of the care home, including special cleaning projects and events.
  • Communication: Liaise with other departments, management, and external vendors as necessary to coordinate housekeeping services and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to housekeeping and ensure compliance within the care home.
  • Customer Service: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service among housekeeping staff, encouraging positive interactions with residents, families, and visitors.

Desired Experience:

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a healthcare or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
