Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Site Manager for a specialist plastics manufacturing business. As the ideal candidate you will be experienced in leading manufacturing operations across Manufacturing, Planning, Tooling , RD , Logistics and Quality. As the number 1 on site you will responsible for all elements of the manufacturing operation and be capable of liaising with sales to align the commercial and operational efforts to improve delivery and customer satisfaction.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities will involve:

  • Ensuring that jobs are manufactured correctly cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to specification and quality requirements.
  • Ensuring the successful introduction of new sales into the business, along with facilitating regular new business reviews.
  • Improve or implement operational systems, processes and policies in support of Companys targets including SOP, ISO9001, Health Safety, Environmental…this list is not exhaustive.
  • Provide advice, support direction for all line managers responsible for production related activity.
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal group teams and departmental heads and external suppliers/customers.
  • Supporting the development of training/ succession plan to meet the future business growth strategy.
  • Inventory control in line with budget
  • Compliance to HS policy and practice, ensuring excellent standards are maintained throughout production.
  • Develop productivity plans to include scrap, downtime, labour efficiency and lean manufacturing.
  • Assist and support in group project work as required.
  • Support the preparation and management of site operational budgets.
  • Provide regular management reporting to group.
