  • Salary: Up to £14.50 per hour
  • Initial 3 month temporary assignment with the potential of going into a permanent position.

We are seeking a diligent Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming invoices, responding to queries, and maintaining financial controls. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Process all incoming invoices through Job Costing or Sage Line 50, ensuring they have the correct PO number and nominal code.
  • Manage the Accounts email inbox and respond promptly to all queries.
  • Match credit card receipts on Job Costing and ensure they are reconciled.
  • Collate supplier statements for payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid within 45-day terms, matching their statements to Sage Line 50.
  • Compile and process expense claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Send new supplier forms to initiate the onboarding process.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain financial controls to ensure the health of the business.
  • Control and monitor credit and payment terms on all invoices from suppliers and clients.
  • Chase overdue payments to maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Assist with the collation of backup documentation for client invoices and contribute to the creation of invoices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with Job Costing and Sage Line 50 or similar accounting software.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience in monitoring cash flow and financial controls.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
