Cleaner

Cleaner required for our leading Sudbury based client working as part of the facilities maintenance team. In you role as cleaner you previous experience in cleaning factory areas, including machinery, equipment, and workspaces. As cleaner your daily tasks will be to ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the buildings performing these within the company daily cleaning plan, update schedules / records and work collaboratively with all functions on-site

The Role

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces to maintain cleanliness throughout the factory premises.
• Clean and sanitise restrooms, meeting rooms, showrooms and other communal areas to ensure a hygienic environment for employees.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
• Clean and maintain factory floors, including removal of debris, spills, and stains to prevent slip and trip hazards.
• Empty bins, segregate waste streams, and ensure that waste storage areas are kept clean and organised.
• Work must be carried out in accordance to the company’s health and safety policy and all relevant procedures.
• Role is based on an alternating shift pattern of earlies Monday to Friday 6am-2pm and lates Monday to Thursday 2pm -10pm and Friday 2-6pm.

The Person

• Must possess previous experience in cleaning factory areas, including machinery, equipment, and workspaces.
• Must be relatively physically fit
• Happy to go up on ladders at height
• Experience working in adherence to health and safety regulations
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures, techniques, and equipment
• Happy to work alone
• Must have a flexible approach to work, reacting to situations as they occur.
• Have a good understanding of COSHH regulations.
