Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer looking to recruit an Electrical/Equipment Facilities Engineer on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for process and plant equipment while supporting site functions like Production, QA and Maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of a manufacturing zone you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is safe and legally compliant from design to integration and implementation
  • Attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.
  • The successful candidates will have a broad-based experience in manufacturing and be able to demonstrate proven skills in the application of Facilities/equipment engineering.
  • Agree equipment strategies to ensure facility OEE is achieved
  • Knowledge of the latest machine and equipment standards is essential
  • Planning, Schedule Control & Project Management is required
  • Must always be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe working environment

The person we're looking for:

  • Electrically biased engineer with some mechanical knowledge / skills
  • HNC is required
  • Knowledge of the latest UK machinery standards
  • Some PLC and systems knowledge is desirable but not essential (Siemens / Mitsubishi etc.)
  • Experience in complex technical manufacturing processes and/or special purpose assembly machines would be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience in high volume manufacturing is essential
  • An understanding of Engineering Drawings
  • Experience carrying out Design Reviews
  • Able to create schedules ready for installation
  • Willing to travel outside of the UK from time to time
  • Previous experience Managing Machine Installation Projects
  • Previous Commissioning experience
  • Have the ability to identify how machinery will be installed and plan the projects
