The CompanyWe are delighted to be supporting a Sunderland based client as they continue to strengthen their systems team. Building on a period of investment into IT the company have recruited into project and process management roles recently and are now looking to bring in an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to help improve future application development, deployment and support.  The RoleYou'll be joining a large and well established technical team who are supporting a diverse business systems landscape including bespoke solutions and off the shelf packages. They have been through a review of their processes around understanding requirements, managing change requests, prioritisation and delivery and realise that there are a number of improvements that could be made. The Agile Delivery Manager will work alongside members of the technical team and stakeholders from across the business to help with prioritisation of tasks and change requests and then start to look at best practice to ensure the delivery process is timely and accurate. Helping to implement agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban will drive improvement in efficiency and quality through use of a standardised processes. The PersonCandidates will need to have an excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle. This is not a hands on role but you should be comfortable working closely with technical teams, with an understanding of the software development lifecycle, but with a focus on coaching the teams on what good looks like and instilling best practice.Certification in scrum/Kanban/agile is of interest however more important is an ability to evidence implementing improvements in delivery and an understanding of the wider impact of issues or new development.The role will require you to be in the office, Sunderland, 3 days, and come with excellent salary, up to £60,000, and generous benefits package including bonus.
