The OpportunityNigel Wright are recruiting for a leading North East organisation who are looking for a Senior IT Delivery Project Manager.This role will form part of the leadership team within the IT department and will be the lead in multiple IT projects and transforming IT roadmaps into a portfolio of work. This is an exciting opportunity with a lot of personal autonomy and accountability in a business which continues to evolve.The ideal candidate should be a clear and effective communicator with the ability to influence the IT leadership team and wider business. If you are an IT project manager with a desire to shape and craft a new role and have a high level of responsibility and autonomy, this is the role for you. The Role
  • Work with the leadership team, project teams and various delivery teams to guide IT project delivery and ensure alignment with business objectives. 
  • Efficiently mobilising IT projects in line with the project management framework. Involving setup, clear scoping across multiple projects, risk management and escalation processes, resource requirements, financial assessment and governance processes
  • Planning of multiple projects and roll-up activities into an overarching IT programme plan, managing the end to end cycle and identifying and mitigating risks. 
  • Direct and co-ordinate the activities of project team members to ensure project delivery on schedule and budget
  • Contribute to and be involved in the portfolio  management processes to ensure project oversight by the Senior Leadership and Executive team. Ensuring that risk is analysed and mitigated for each project is also a critical responsibility.
  • Leading cross-functional teams and managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced, results driven environment 
Experience required
  • Experience in leading IT projects 
  • Working with and influencing cross-functional teams 
  • Extensive stakeholder management and relationship building skills 
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills 
  • Worked in roles where you have had to help with resource management for projects in the organisation
