Overview:
We are excited to welcome a dynamic and motivated Junior Welding Engineer. This role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a foundational understanding of welding and quality processes to grow and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities/Activities:

Comprehensive Support:

  • Provide versatile support across the site, learning and adapting to various tasks based on business needs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in ensuring products are manufactured in line with company procedures, meeting specifications, and accompanied by relevant documentation.
  • Learn and participate in inspections at different production stages, including supplier premises, to identify non-conformities.

Collaboration and Independence:

  • Collaborate with the team while also taking on individual responsibilities to support inspection and auditing processes.
  • Contribute to general quality-related activities and projects within the quality department.

Process Development and Innovation:

  • Learn and assist in supporting Production with innovation, process development, standard operating procedures, and technology application for continuous improvement.

Inspections and Training:

  • Observe and assist in inspecting materials, welds, dimensions, and painting processes.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives as part of your learning experience.

Competences:

  • Knowledge of quality and welding management systems.
  • Willingness to learn and gain experience in EN1090-2 standards.
  • Eagerness to support process and procedure improvements.
  • Developing competence in welder monitoring, weld sequences/SOP, and distortion control.
  • Basic proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and international specifications.

Additional Information:

  • Educational background in welding/fabrication or related field.
  • Understanding of welding processes, with an eagerness to learn MAG, TIG, and SMAW methods.
  • Familiarity with materials used in welding processes.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, coupled with a methodical and logical approach.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills to support the department.
