Zenith People are working with our client who operate within Fast Moving Manufacturing and are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be time-served and have previous experience of working in a fully automated production environment responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

The purpose of the position is to Carry out maintenance duties and responsibilities on your shift in a busy, Fast Moving, High Volume Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to health and safety aspects within the assembly maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
  • Participate in 5S processes and procedures with your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure fast response and smooth operation of plant equipment to enable quality results.
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Use and suggest improvements for the TPM system / equipment to improve maintenance performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, equipment modifications, plant, error proofing, technical systems and processes and cost down opportunities.

Person specification:

  • Must be time served to a minimum HNC.
  • Experience of working with robotics, PLC’s, HMI’s, specifically 5/6 Axis Robotic.
  • Be able to work own initiative and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the Company.
  • Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Good communication and team playing skills are necessary.
