Your New RoleThe Credit Risk Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in the evolution of the credit risk environment for our multi-utility commercial product set. Reporting directly to the Head of Credit, you will collaborate closely with the operational teams in the Credit area, as well as consulting with Technology, Operations, Product, and Sales to optimise our risk and reward balance, and improve collections effectiveness enabling to achieve its ambitious goals.As the Credit Risk Strategy Manager, your role is all about delivery! The Business is evolving, and it is critical that the Credit Department evolves at the same rate. There are a number of predetermined objectives that are fundamental in the pursuit of their 2024 strategic goals, as well as any agreed initiatives you may recommend. You will own the 2024 credit strategy and mobilise whatever resource is necessary to deliver these objectives. Ultimately, delivery of this strategy will result in game-changing performance in Credit, and in turn have a fundamental impact of the company’s profitability.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPositively impact the proportion of payments made by direct debit.
  • Improve the collection rate across all debt buckets, resulting in a game-changing improvement in bad debt.
  • Reduce the spend in external debt collections, without negatively impacting the collection performance.
  • Optimise the data integrity of new tenancy customers, resulting in less emerging debt.
  • Work with our in-house data scientists to create a relevant Credit dashboard to ensure that key risk management decisions can be made quickly.
You Will Be/HavePractical SQL expertise in query optimisation, data analysis, Power BI, and reporting.
