Connect Appointments is excited to announce opportunities for THREE dynamic individuals to join our client's dedicated team as Supported Housing Officers. Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of North East's most vulnerable individuals?

We're seeking TWO full-time and ONE part-time team members who are passionate about providing support, housing, and empowerment to those in need.

Please Note: An ENHANCED DBS is required for this role.

As a Supported Housing Officer, you will collaborate closely with the Housing Manager to deliver intensive housing management and practical support services to residents with diverse needs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring every individual reaches their full potential, securing stable accommodation, employment, training, qualifications, and overall well-being.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing intensive housing management and practical support services, catering to the unique needs of residents
  • Facilitating the collection and accurate recording of weekly charge payments from residents
  • Ensuring compliance with residency agreements and taking appropriate action in line with policies and procedures
  • Conducting regular health and safety inspections, maintaining meticulous records, and coordinating remedial actions as needed
  • Adhering to lone working policies and procedures to ensure personal safety
  • Assisting residents in claiming welfare benefits they may be entitled to
  • Developing and implementing tailored support programs to help residents achieve their goals and enhance independence
  • Establishing and nurturing strong partnerships with other service providers
  • Actively participating in team meetings and necessary training courses

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess:

  • A full clean driving license, with willingness to travel as required
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for efficient record-keeping and information retrieval
  • Demonstrated empathy, communication, and active listening skills
  • ENHANCED DBS clearance
