Senior Residential Support Worker

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Salary: £30,000 to £33,000

Hours: Full-time, 07:30am to 10:30pm shifts on a rolling rota with 8 sleep-in shifts per month

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join their team at a 3-bedded therapeutic children's residential service based in Sutton Coldfield. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day support and guidance to a team of support workers.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans in collaboration with other professionals.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people at all times.
  • Promoting a nurturing and therapeutic environment within the residential service.
  • Actively engaging children and young people in meaningful activities and experiences.
  • Administering medication and maintaining accurate records as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3/4 qualification in children and young people (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in children's residential care.
  • Experience working with children and young people with EBD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including long days, weekends, and sleep-ins.
