Cherry Professional is looking for a ambitious and dedicated candidate with a particular interest inScience and Researchto join a friendly organisation on an on-going temporary assignment to work within their busyScientific Researchdepartment.
This role would suit a recent graduate or school Leaver with a relevant degree or qualification equivalent.
Responsibilities
To be responsible for the documenting, sampling, testing and release of all incoming materials including samples for the water purification plant, and for the testing and release of bulk and finished product
To perform microbiological and endotoxin testing on all internal and clinic samples in an accurate and timely manner
To apply the necessary aseptic techniques to ensure that contamination does not occur during the sampling and testing of the samples
To carry out testing of samples from outside sources and produce relevant reports and certificates of calibration
To conduct all in-house calibrations at their required due date and record on appropriate log sheets and calibration database as applicable.
To ensure that Laboratories and equipment are kept in a clean and tidy condition and to dispose of all waste according to training manual
To conduct release of product, ensuring that the product has been manufactured in accordance with internal defined processes and procedures and that it fully complies with the required chemical and microbiological limits specified.
To perform chemical and microbiological projects, validations and investigations as required.
To report all out of line/specification results to the appropriate person.
To keep good stock control and place orders as required
Ideal Person
Good general standard of education (e.g. attained a minimum of 5 GCSE passes including Maths and Science).
Self motivated team player
Ability to prioritise workload
Strong IT skills
Hours of work:6.30am-2.30pm Monday to Friday
