Class 1 Walking Floor Tramper Driver

The position of Class 1 Tramper Driver involves:

• Collecting and delivering customers products delivering loads throughout the UK.
• Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
• Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
• This will include nights away.
• Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Tramper Driver:

• Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
• To have experience driving walking floor and curtain sider vehicles.
• Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Working to deadlines.
• Confident, polite and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
