£17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are looking for Class 2 Drivers for a prestigious company in the Swindon area.

For the right candidate this could be an ongoing booking, Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday. Day and Night shifts available.

Whilst working with People Solutions, you will have access to our online Worker Portal where you can view your weekly pay slips and book your holidays.

Holiday entitlement is 28 days per year pro-rata, accrued as you work.

Day to Day Duties

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to different shops to deliver goods in a safe and efficient manner
• The shops could be in a town centre, airports, outlets etc.
• Must be a careful and diligent driver as you will need to operate a tail lift while at work
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

• Must hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence for at least one year
• No more than 6 points on Driving Licence and no major endorsements
• Have a valid CPC Card and Digi Card
• Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
• Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to adhere to deadlines
• Responsible and confident driver

Desirable Experience

Experience in a similar role working with tail lift trucks.

Training

• A driving theory & practical assessment will take place before being accepted to work on site
• Two days of further training are to be completed before your first shift
