£29,000-£33,000 per annum, basic (with OTE £38-45K with overtime)

Our client is one of the leading specialist UK ‘Process Weighing’ companies operating in the Chemical, Pharma and Food sectors.

What we need from you as a Service/Calibration Engineer:

  • You will need to be based in or around the Swindon/M4 corridor
  • Good practical electrical and mechanical knowledge/skill set - someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and enjoys fixing things
  • A current valid driving licence
  • A flexible attitude to work - including occasional overnight stays away from home when necessary
  • Adaptability, initiative, self-motivated, disciplined, and self-reliant in the role as, effectively, an ambassador of the Company during working hours
  • Can complete all paperwork needed by the job role on time
  • Some software and/or electronics knowledge would also be beneficial

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Initially, assisting Engineers with regular scheduled calibration and servicing of Process Weighing Equipment/Systems primarily on site and progressing to lone working after suitable training
  • Attending both emergency and non-urgent breakdown call-out requests from their customers
  • Routine calibration by various methods of platform weigh-scales and weigh-hoppers/vessels
  • Use of various software packages to interrogate and calibrate high performance weighing systems
  • Liaison with our other skilled and experienced engineering team, both colleagues and those of our customers (and partners), in a competent and professional manner
  • Assistance with other vital duties for the business, such as deliveries and collections of test/calibration equipment

Salary/hours: £29,000-£33,000 per annum, basic (with OTE £38-45K with overtime) – depending on skills and experience. Basic salary reviewed after initial trial period. Core hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
