Head of Finance - FTC

Your new companyHealthcare Trust based in Swindon, WiltshireYour new roleHead of Finance reporting into the Chief Clinical Operations Executive with responsibility for 4 direct reports.What you'll need to succeedThe client is looking for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE finance professional with ideally proven experience within the social care or charity arenas in a managerial capacity.The client would ideally be looking for someone to be in post by 10th June 2024 and so availability for this date is paramount.The successful candidate will be employed on an initial six-month fixed term contract and will have responsibilities covering, but not exclusively:

• Budgetary Control - Preparation, agreement and submission of the final budget to the Finance & General Purposes Committee (F&GP) for approval. Budget monitoring for departmental managers. Implementing financial management mechanisms. Review and evaluation of processes for cost-reduction, the preparation of monthly MI packs and cashflow forecasting.
• Accounting - Maintenance of financial records, review and maintenance of policies and procedures and adherence to current legislation. Install and maintain systems of internal control along with oversight of the day-to-day financial operations. Monthly management accounts and wider support on DWP compliance. Develop the current pricing structure and also develop internal and external stakeholder relationships. Responsibility for the fixed asset register and post depreciation.
• Strategy - Develop and maintain business performance alongside the Senior Management Team with strategic planning and decision-making.
• Administration - Lead on Trust IT requirements, manage existing contracts for utilities and fleet, estate management, personnel management and take responsibility for ongoing necessary training where required.

What you'll get in returnFor undertaking this role, the successful candidate will be paid between £54,000 - £58,000pa on a six-month fixed term agreement along with very good benefits, pension and annual leave entitlement.
