Plant Manager/Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm (45 hour week)

Salary Range: £35,0000 - £40 ,000 per annum – depending on experience.

We are seeking a dedicated Plant Manager to oversee our number of construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for continuously improving product quality, managing team performance, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

The suitable candidate will work independently in managing all company sites and ensuring the equipment is serviced and distributed correctly to the designated sites.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Oversee the plant’s operational activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards for 20 sites
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality to meet set standards and customer requirements
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all site managers, workers and departments and approved suppliers
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and manage inventory levels to control the flow of products
  • Manage company stock; ensuring services are up to date and distributed correctly across sites
  • Take occasional onsite visits to meet with site managers
  • Manage and keep fuel card records and costs up to date – run regular reports
  • Lead and direct team members within the plant department
  • Filing and keeping data in storage, welcoming onsite guests, answering incoming calls from workers and site managers and managing incoming emails

It is crucial that the suitable candidate can manage their own time efficiently, work towards tight deadlines and work independently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to prepare and present reports to senior management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Competency in administrative tasks and inventory management.
  • Construction industry knowledge – desirable but not essential.
