The Company
My client has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic Assistant Accountant to join their small, friendly finance team on a permanent basis.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
- Purchase Ledger including reconciling invoices to delivery notes, coding of invoices in line with company coding structure and processing on the company's accounting system
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Supplier payments
- Recording and coding petty cash expenditure
- Reviewing and processing staff card expenses
- Assisting in the preparation, processing and recording of weekly production wages
- Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports
- Undertaking other finance administrative tasks and general support to the Finance Manager as required
- Complying with company policies
Personal Profile
We are looking to speak with experienced Assistant Accountants who have an ambition to progress and develop within an organisation (there is a fantastic opportunity to progress here!) You will have worked in a busy accounts environment previously and be comfortable working well in a team as well as independently to solve problems efficiently.
Early finish on a Friday.
Experience of Sage 200 and Sage 50 Payroll would be preferred but not essential.
