Process Engineer
- Location: Tamworth
- £35000-£40000 with pension, life cover, healthcare, EAP and on site parking
A mechanically biased engineer is needed to drive a production process towards a zero defects status. You must be an exceptional problems solver and adept engineer. Exceptional prospect within a life critical manufacturing sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Take ownership of remakes within your designated area, ensuring immediate containment to minimise risk to additional product.
- Conduct thorough investigations of remakes and report initial findings to senior management within 24 hours of the issue being raised.
- Document details and findings of all remakes in the Company Remake investigation system, supported by a completed remake completion check sheet.
- Instigate and implement any Corrective and Preventative Actions, maintaining ownership until fully implemented.
- Ensure all remakes are investigated and closed to the Quality Manager’s satisfaction.
- Drive activities to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD), including non-production tasks.
- Provide leadership and support for Lean processes, including 5s and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to document processes clearly and keep records up-to-date.
- Competency in investigating and addressing remakes to minimise product risk.
- Leadership skills to drive quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
- Familiarity with Lean processes, including 5s and CI activities.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
