As a Stock Condition Surveyor and Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), you will play a pivotal role in conducting internal and external property surveys. This includes stock condition assessments, energy performance evaluations resulting in Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), and PAS 2035 Retrofit Assessments. Your responsibilities will involve upholding data integrity, supporting asset management strategies, ensuring compliance, and driving energy efficiency improvements. Full training will be provided if you do not have DEA or Retrofit qualifications.Â
You may have previous experience in similar roles within a local authority, housing association, or in private practice as a building or chartered surveyor. Your expertise lies in evaluating both internal and external building components, accurately predicting replacement needs, and strategising for future maintenance.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
• Undertake comprehensive property surveys encompassing stock conditions and energy assessments.Â
• Produce EPCs and PAS 2035 Retrofit Assessments in compliance with industry standards.Â
• Maintain accurate and reliable data to support asset management strategies and compliance requirements.Â
• Carry out surveys to include Decent Homes Standard and Housing Health & Safety Rating Standard assessments
• Utilise and manage stock condition databases effectively.Â
This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis and will cover the Devon and West Somerset area.

About The Candidate
To be considered for the role of Property Condition Surveyor and DEA, you will be / have:
- Proficiency in Building Surveying and Construction Management, ideally within an RSL or similar environment.
- Thorough understanding of the Decent Homes Standard and Housing Health & Safety Rating Standard.
- Familiar with stock condition databases and their management.
- Basic Asbestos Awareness training certification (Desirable).
- Excellent written, IT, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Relevant technical qualifications (Desirable).
- Accreditation as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or willingness to work towards this accreditation.
- Accreditation as a PAS 2035 Retrofit Assessor or a willingness to work towards this accreditation.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
